Back in the days of the great vintage bathrooms (1885-1915) this the the type of scale that was often part of the decor. Today we call them lollipop scales, for obvious reasons, and they are are scarce. Most of these scales were made by John Chatillon & Sons (who made many other types of scales) and then the name of the company that was selling the scale was added in larger letter on the face of the dial. On this scale the name is Huber Federal, a company that made a line of high quality bath accessories around 1900 The height of the scale is 54″ and the dial is 12″ in diameter. The bezel holding the glass face is nickel under the white paint. This scale is complete and working in as found condition.
